Custom AI built around how you already work.

Off-the-shelf software makes you work its way. We build AI around the way your business already runs: client portals, quoting engines, chatbots that answer at midnight, lead qualification that sorts serious buyers from tyre-kickers before you ring back. This is not theory. Our own client portal and lead pipeline are in-house builds, and they run whitfield.it every working day. Practical AI that works for your business, not a tech demo. We build for firms anywhere in the UK, and the published prices are the same wherever you are.

An honest answer by Tuesday 13 October from a £300 consultation on whether this fits how you work. Builds start at £3,000, then £149 a month, and you own what we build.

Tue6Tue13

The problem this solves.

✕Leads arrive overnight and sit unanswered until nine, by which time someone else has quoted the job.
✕Quotes wait until Sunday night because every price lives in your head and a battered spreadsheet.
✕Your software almost fits, so your staff run workarounds and nothing talks to anything else.
✕You have tried ChatGPT, got a clever answer or two, and nothing about the working week changed.
✕Every AI firm you ring wants a discovery workshop before it will even hint at a price.

What we build.

Chatbots that take the enquiry

A chatbot here means a box on your website that answers the questions you get asked every day and takes a name and number, then books the job or hands over to a human. It works at midnight as happily as midday. We train it on your services and your rules, so it does not make things up.

Lead qualification

Not every enquiry deserves the same hour of your evening. A lead qualification tool asks each new lead the questions you would ask, where the job is and how soon they need it, then scores it before it reaches your phone. Ring the serious ones first. We run the same thing on our own enquiries.

Quoting engines

Somewhere in your firm the pricing lives in one person's head. A quoting engine turns those rules into a tool your staff can use: measurements in, price out, the same maths every time. Quotes go out the same day instead of Sunday night, and they stop depending on you being in the office.

Client portals and internal tools

Sometimes nothing on the market fits how your firm works, and bending to it costs hours a week. We design and build the tool that does fit: a client portal, a job tracker, a booking system. Ours is the proof, because the portal our own clients log into is one of our builds.

Workflow automation

Plenty of jobs in a working week are pure plumbing: copying an enquiry into the diary, chasing an unpaid invoice, sending the same reminder text again. Automation wires those steps together so they happen on their own. It is the least glamorous thing we sell and often the fastest to pay for itself.

Content and messaging pipelines

Follow-up emails and social posts take time nobody has spare. A content pipeline drafts them in your voice, from your real jobs and your real know-how, then queues them for a person to approve before anything goes out. You stay in charge of every word. You just stop starting from a blank page.

What the search data says.

The search data is blunt: 1,600 UK owners a month go looking for an AI consultancy, and another 1,300 ask what AI could do for a business like theirs. Nobody types that in idly. These are people who suspect hours are going on work a machine should handle. Our answer is a build that runs, not a demo, and every price sits on this page before you ring anyone.

How it works.

01
Map the work

Everything starts with an AI Consultation: we sit with you and walk one real job through the business, enquiry to invoice, looking for the points where hours leak. If AI will not pay its way in your firm, we say so there and then, and you keep the map either way.

02
Build the smallest version

Rather than a grand platform, we build the smallest tool that removes the pain, wired into the systems you already use. Under the bonnet it runs on established AI models. The part we build is the plumbing that makes them useful to your firm specifically.

03
Test it on real jobs

Before anything faces a customer, it runs alongside your team on live work, real enquiries and real quotes, with a person checking every output. We tune it until the answers hold up, and we would rather delay a launch than ship a bot that guesses.

04
Hand it over

When it goes live you get the accounts in your name and documentation written in plain English, plus a walkthrough for whoever will run it. You own the build outright and there is no lock-in: 30 days notice ends any monthly arrangement, and everything keeps working after we step away.

Built by people who use it daily.

We map where AI would genuinely pay in your business, build the smallest tool that does the job, test it on real work and hand it over with plain-English notes. You own it, and support is optional. The prices below are the same published prices everyone gets.

The questions everyone asks.

For drafting the odd email, you should, it is free and decent. The gap is between a person typing into a chat box and a system that works on its own, answering enquiries at night or moving data between your diary and your invoices. That plumbing is what you are paying for. In the consultation we will happily point out which jobs a free chat window already covers.
It depends on the build, and we give you a date before you commit. A chatbot or a single automation is typically live within weeks. A custom portal or quoting engine is a bigger job, measured in months not days. Either way you see it working on test data early, and nothing goes near your customers until it has held up alongside your team.
Yes, outright. Accounts sit in your name, and the documentation is written so another developer could pick it up tomorrow. There is no lock-in: 30 days notice ends any monthly arrangement, and the tools keep working after we step away. We would rather win the next job on merit than hold the last one hostage.
Now and then it will, and anyone who says otherwise is selling a demo. So we design for it. The bot answers only from information you have approved, and anything it cannot answer goes straight to a human rather than a guess. During testing we read the logs and tighten the rules, so wrong answers get rarer while the safety net stays.
Because we are our own first client. The portal our clients log into and the pipeline that scores our leads were built in-house, and they run this business every day. Distance matters little for this work, and the prices are the same wherever you are.
