There's no Google minimum, but we recommend a minimum of £500/month in ad spend for local campaigns to generate enough data to optimise properly. Below that, the data pool is too small to make meaningful improvements. Most of our clients start at £500–£1,500/month and scale up as ROI is proven.
Unlike SEO, PPC can drive traffic from day one. You should see leads in the first week if the campaigns are set up correctly. However, it takes 4–8 weeks to fully optimise bidding strategies as Google's algorithm learns from your conversion data. The first month is often the most expensive per lead — it gets better from there.
