Where We Cover

Whitfield IT builds hand-coded, fast websites for businesses across North Wales, Cheshire, the Wirral, Merseyside and the borders. Every dot on this map is a town with its own dedicated web design page, built from real local research rather than a find-and-replace template. This page covers web design; our other services publish their own coverage as they roll out.

How coverage actually works

Every town on this map is researched individually. We look at the place itself: its trades, its high street, its business estates, and in most cases a scan of how local business websites actually perform. That research shapes what we build, because a joiner in Penyffordd and a solicitor in Knutsford do not need the same website.

Being covered means three practical things. We know your area and your market, not just your postcode. We can meet you in person anywhere on this map without it being an event. And your site gets built for local search from day one, because winning your trade plus your town is usually the whole point. The build itself is the same wherever you are: hand-coded pages from £1,000, priced openly.

Why local matters for web design

Most of the businesses we build for win work locally, which means their websites compete locally. Google decides those results using signals a remote agency treats as an afterthought: a properly set up Google Business Profile, consistent citations, pages that name real places because you genuinely serve them, and copy written by someone who knows the difference between Rhos and Rhyl. That is what our web design service is built around.

Outside the map?

The map shows towns with dedicated pages, not the limit of where we work. If you are between the dots, or a county over, we can almost certainly still help, and we work remotely with businesses across the UK. If you are unsure, ask. It costs nothing to find out.

Coverage questions, answered

Which areas do you cover for web design?

Our home patch is North Wales, Cheshire, the Wirral, Merseyside and the border towns into Shropshire. Every town on the map above has its own dedicated web design page. If your town is not shown, we very likely still cover it, so just ask.

Do you only build websites for businesses in the towns listed?

No. The towns listed are where we have researched the local market deeply enough to publish a dedicated page. We build for businesses between and beyond them all the time, and the list keeps growing.

Do you meet clients in person?

Yes, anywhere on the map. Plenty of clients prefer a face-to-face kick-off and we are happy to come to you. Most ongoing work then happens remotely, which keeps things quick and keeps costs down.

Is there a travel charge for visits?

Not within our patch. Travel across North Wales, Cheshire, the Wirral, Merseyside and nearby is part of the service, not a line on your invoice.

Can you build a website for a business outside North Wales and Cheshire?

Yes. We work remotely with businesses across the UK. The local patch is where we can also offer in-person meetings and deeper local market knowledge, but the build quality is identical wherever you are.

Why does using a local web designer matter for Google rankings?

It is less about where your designer sits and more about what they understand. Local rankings depend on your Google Business Profile, consistent citations, and pages built around the places you genuinely serve. A designer who knows your area builds those in naturally instead of bolting them on.

My village is not on the map. Are you too big or too far for us?

Neither. Villages fold into their nearest town page rather than getting their own, but the coverage is the same. Tell us where you are and we will tell you honestly whether we are a sensible fit.

Where is Whitfield IT actually based?

The business is rooted in the Wrexham and Chester area, which is why those two sit at the centre of the map. That base puts the whole patch, from the coast to east Cheshire, within easy reach.

Do you have offices in every town listed?

No, and we would rather be straight about that than pretend otherwise. It is one senior team covering a patch it knows well. The town pages exist because we research each place properly, not because there is a branch on every high street.

Will you cover more towns and services?

Yes. The map grows in waves as we research new towns, and coverage pages for our other services are on the way. If you want your town prioritised, asking is genuinely the fastest route.

Want honest eyes on your website?

Free, no pressure, specific to your town and your trade.
